Duties

As a DATA ANALYTICS SPECIALIST - TITLE 5, GS-0301-12, you will provide technical advice on all aspects of data analytics. Responsible for administering and coordinating a complex data analytics portfolio including Army and Air National Guard projects. Create, prepare, design, test, validate and deploy data visualization solutions. Use data analytic and business intelligent tools to develop custom workflows. Communicate and coordinate with content managers to ensure content conforms to Section 508, DoD, DFAS Site Office standards and policy, analytical visualizations, and content best practices. Interpret, develop, and apply data to generate usable products that enable leaders to make informed decisions. Apply scientific and statistical standards to evaluate data to develop high-priority analyses and metrics. Collect and consolidate corresponding data to develop, prepare, and update comprehensive reports, charts, graphics, and presentations to illustrate findings. Manage full development life cycle using necessary software for hosting and facilitating web site communications. Design and maintain related key performance indicators. Perform qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the National Guard. Provide technical guidance in the development and review of policy and procedural issuances related to data analysis. Perform other duties as assigned.

Must maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least one (1) year experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression through federal service (GS-11) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the knowledge and experience with data analytics principles and policies. Experience interpreting and applying federal regulations, directives and program-specific policies to ensure compliance. Experience analyzing program operations, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing process improvements. Experience preparing reports, briefings, and policy recommendations. Experience coordinating with other organizations/agencies to resolve issues, align policy, and meet program objectives. Experience analyzing effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of National Guard programs.
