Conditions of employment
- National Guard Membership is required. If you are not sure if you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position ( if selected for T32 Position description).
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard ( if selected for T32 Position description).
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform (if selected for T32 Position description).
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. (if selected for T32 Position description)
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state of emergency or disaster declaration.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- In accordance with Ethics in Government Act, 1978, incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; comp-time or overtime may be required.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
- The employee will be required to take a drug test.
Qualifications
MILITARY GRADES: O5-O6 (required if selected for T32 PD)
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 12N (required if selected for T32 PD)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Experience, training, or knowledge overseeing training facilities and complex programs which include mobilization support, property management, and logistics. Experience or knowledge with managing maintenance, repair, and construction of multiple facilities. Experience managing diverse Federal and State funds and directing subordinates on daily tasks and ensuring strict compliance with governing regulations. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Must have 12 months specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

The memorandum will be written by you, the employee, and signed by your supervisory chain up to the Director level. Directors and Supervisors will submit the signed memorandum for final review to the HRO Staffing inbox: ng.in.inarng.mbx.hro-staffing-section@army.mil
The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is the final approval for all ETP waivers. If approved, the memorandum will be returned to you and then submitted with your application.
