Duties
Responsible for the development and execution of digital marketing material on social, web, and digital platforms. Utilizes multiple communication methods and techniques, to include oral, written, visual, and digital media for the purpose of informing the general public about the programs, services, special events, and policies sponsored by, or affiliated with, MCCS operations.
Creates and edits videos and photographs for distribution on multiple digital platforms, Responsible for shooting videos at facilities and event locations. Provides video and photographic support at MCCS special events. Interviews Marines and their family members for video footage content. Uses video editing software such as Premiere Pro, Premiere Rush, and After Effects. Prepares posts for digital platforms in real time using an iPad or iPhone.
Develops and utilizes a variety of marketing plans and concepts designed to enhance awareness and utilization of MCCS facilities and services. Publishes content and design within brand standards on digital media accounts and website. Develops content for multiple digital marketing platforms like TVs, electronic marquees, and other digital signage. Organizes and tracks web / digital analytics. Provides comprehensive after-action campaign reports to analyze campaign results. Assists in communication and promotional requirements, which may include vlogging, blogging, photography, and other public relations activities for the Division.
Implements digital media campaigns, creates online surveys, conducts market research and develops communication strategies to effectively reach target audience. Tabulates responses, analyzes results, and prepares reports for the Digital Media Manager. Assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency and enhance participation in MCCS activities. Researches consumer and digital media trends and implements as applicable. Prepares and conducts presentations for varying groups as needed. Works closely with Digital Media Manager to ensure programs and events are disseminated to target audiences.
Initiates and prepares routine correspondence, such as memoranda and messages, using a PC or Tablet and various software. Personally responds to routine telephone inquiries and routine email. Assists with the coordination of MCCS publicity through multiple digital platforms. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience that demonstrates broad knowledge of digital media and marketing/advertising principles, practices and target demographic groups as required. Demonstrated experience in the use of a variety of informational marketing and media methods such as video creation and editing, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Rush. Adobe After Effects, Adobe In-Design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CMS, HTML, photography, graphic arts, design, and live streaming. Must have strong knowledge in using and administering relevant social media platforms (e.g. Facebook Pages, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Mobile Texting) and digital media opportunities. Experience developing, conducting, and analyzing market research (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.). Must be skilled in using various forms of communication and informational media methods and techniques to stimulate interest from a variety of publics, which have different levels of understanding. Must be able to identify the characteristics of target audiences and determine the most effective sources, methods, and techniques to use in reaching patrons. Ability to analyze the results of information gathering techniques, surveys, inquiries, etc. to improve upon existing systems. Must be highly organized, capable of working independently, and possess the skill to track multiple high visibility projects simultaneously. Skill to operate a personal computer, tablet, and video/photography equipment. Must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation mandatory.
