Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Supervision, management and execution of personnel qualification and training programs for Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) nuclear or radiological emergency response/ engineering/controls personnel.
2) Planning and execution of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program radiological emergency response and All Hazards exercises.
3) Coordinating Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program emergency response policies, procedures, and exercises with other government agencies.
4) Integrates fleet command and control principles with emergency preparedness and response to ensure U.S. Navy nuclear powered warships remain a force multiplier in the defense of the United States.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Post-employment completion of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) coursework in areas related to emergency planning is required. At a minimum this includes:
1. Basic Professional Development Series: (IS-120) An Introduction to Exercises, (IS-230) Fundamentals of Emergency Management, (IS-235) Emergency Planning, (IS-240) Leadership and Influence, (IS-241) Decision Making and Problem Solving, (IS-242) Effective Communication, and (IS-244) Developing and Managing Volunteers.

3. (IS-800) National Response Framework, An Introduction
4. (IS-836) Nuclear/Radiological Incident Annex
