SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences is provides oversight and professional expertise for the establishment, provisioning, advocacy and training of the USAF Materiel Deficiency Reporting and Investigating System at the AFTC. Additionally, the WIT/DR manager will be responsible for building, producing, maintaining and distributing a common database to be used by all test programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Deficiency Reporting (DR) theory and precepts and general knowledge of Configuration and Data Management, including knowledge of directives to develop, implement, maintain, and advocate DR and data management programs.
- Ability to interpret complex technical orders, regulations, and policy and to devise new methods and documentary guidance that are without precedent.
- Knowledge of aircraft hardware, software, systems, integration of avionics, airframe, and engines, support equipment, and aircraft maintenance procedures (USAF and contractor) to identify and document deficiencies and to assess operational and technical impacts of problems and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of Deficiency Reporting (DR) theory and precepts and general knowledge of Configuration and Data Management, including knowledge of directives to develop, implement, maintain, and advocate DR and data management programs. Knowledge of USAF DR databases and familiarity with other commonly used software programs, such as EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT, etc.
