Join Our Team as a Dental Assistant

Overview

We are looking for dedicated Dental Assistants to join our healthcare team and support our dental professionals in providing excellent patient care. This role involves direct patient care under the supervision of experienced dental staff and performing clinical and clerical tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Show courtesy and respect to patients and address their questions or concerns.
  • Chairside Assisting: Prepare dental procedures, assist with instruments, maintain clean operative fields, and help with both routine and complex dental procedures.
  • Dental Imaging: Ensure high quality diagnostic images, utilize safety techniques, and minimize retakes.
  • Direct Patient Care: Remove sutures, take impressions, recement and fabricate temporary crowns, perform coronal polishing and provide patient education.
  • Infection Control and Equipment Sterilization: Follow standard infection protocols and prepare instruments for sterilization effectively.
  • Dental Lab Functions: Create diagnostic casts, custom trays and perform other lab functions as needed.
  • Clerical Functions: Help in scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
  • Patient Safety: Provide patient instructions and monitor conditions during treatment.
  • Employee Education: Participate and complete all mandatory training sessions.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Experience: At least six months related experience or a 1-year dental assistant program accredited by the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
  • Certification in radiologic procedures is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with basic life support methods.
