Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Offer courtesy, respect, and assistance to patients and visitors.
  • Chairside Assisting: Prepare and organize the dental operatory, assist during procedures, and ensure patient comfort.
  • Dental Imaging: Capture high-quality diagnostic images using safe techniques.
  • Direct Patient Care: Undertake tasks such as removing sutures, fabricating temporary crowns, and educating patients post-treatment.
  • Infection Control: Maintain strict infection control standards, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Clerical Functions: Manage patient appointments and charting effectively.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Relevant experience or education in dental assisting.
  • Certification in radiologic procedures or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Basic life support certification is highly desirable.

Educational Requirements

  • A completion of a dental assistant program accredited by the American Dental Association, or equivalent experience.
