Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States. Employees of the federal judiciary are excepted service appointments. Appointments are "At-Will' and may be terminated with or without cause by the Court. The candidate selected for the position will be hired provisionally pending the results of a background investigation. The position is subject to the Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees. Direct deposit of pay is required.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess six years of administrative, professional, or legal experience that provides an understanding of management practices and administrative processes, including three years of specialized experience in a position of administrative, supervisory, managerial, or professional work. Excellent analytical skills, superior oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, organization and problem-solving skills, and a desire to achieve and maintain a high level of professional excellence are also essential. The candidate must possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, as well as the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks. A proven ability to demonstrate sound judgment and maintain confidentiality is needed. Other preferred qualifications include: familiarity with The Guide to Judiciary Policy and court operations; experience with managing budget, finance, procurement, space and facilities planning; information technology; and experience handling personnel matters. Work is performed in an office setting with some opportunity to telework.
