Deputy Prevention Program Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Prevention Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and maintain day-to-day operations of our primary prevention efforts, ensuring the technical competence and effectiveness of our prevention workforce. You will work closely with senior leadership, advising and guiding them on implementing successful prevention strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a deputy to the Prevention Program Manager, leading efforts in primary prevention activities.
  • Advise senior commanders and staff on community-level prevention strategies.
  • Coordinate comprehensive programs to address and prevent harmful behaviors.
  • Develop and implement a Comprehensive Integrated Primary Prevention (CIPP) Plan.
  • Analyze data to conduct community needs assessments and evaluate prevention effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a sustainable prevention system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social science, prevention science, public health, or related discipline.
  • Or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in the required field.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-11 level, including developing and implementing prevention plans, advising leaders, and collaborating with coalitions.

Requirements

  • Must complete specialized DoD training within 6 months of employment.
  • Required to obtain a Level 5 DoD Credentialing Program for Prevention Personnel.
  • Position may require 15% business travel.
