Summary

NSA is in need of skilled/experienced Facilities and Logistics professionals.

Duties

The National Security Agency (NSA) currently has opportunities at the Fort Meade, Maryland location for highly motivated Designers to provide facilities design expertise, guidance, and support to the development and implementation of commercial solutions that enable capabilities in alignment with mission driven priorities. Our Designers are responsible for the look and feel of facilities, from an interiors perspective, across the entire NSA enterprise. As a Designer, you will be a valuable member of the design team that implements workspace solutions based on project requirements developed through customer interaction and data collection.

As a Designer at NSA, responsibilities may include:
- Facilities planning and space programming
- Develop conceptual furniture layouts
- Develop furniture layouts, design packages, cost estimates and project schedules
- Development of designs for new and renovated commercial facilities.
- Provide construction detailing
- Conduct code analysis
- Project management
- Facility integration
- Facility Operations updates
- Facility Blueprints and CAD Files

Requirements

Conditions of Employment

  • All applicants and employees are subject to random drug testing in accordance with Executive Order 12564. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph.

Qualifications

Relevant experience must include one or more of the following: facility design, applying codes and standards, or construction documentation utilizing Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) (for example, AutoCAD).

Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and no experience.

Education

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position.

If qualifying with a degree, degree must be Construction Management, Space Planning, or a related field.


Additional information

Pay: Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.

Salary Range: $57,164 - $90,898 Salary range varies by work level and relevant experience to the position.

On the job training, internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee.
