Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) at The Pentagon is searching for a Digital Information Manager (NH-0343-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).
Description:
We are looking for a digitally savvy and creative candidate to help us modernize our digital information processes and products across NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS. We are looking to better manage records, tasks, meetings/collaboration, and production of marketing products. To do this, we need someone willing to research/understand US Government requirements/restrictions and then design options to stay in compliance in the most efficient means possible.
The ideal candidate must have strong digital information management and collaboration tool skills (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and the ability to facilitate the use of those tools for those less experienced with them. Some experience with graphic design and editing and enhancing visual products such as power point presentations, fact sheets, websites, and posters. Records management experience is preferred.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. In-depth knowledge of records management and IT regulations, principles, processes and documentation procedures; ability to interpret policy and procedures applicable to configuration and data management and tailor support programs to specific requirements.
2. Knowledge of IT systems analysis and internet concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate new and emerging IT security methods and principles, the feasibility of proposed new systems in addition, applications software projects; and to design, test and maintain information systems and applications software and ensure successful integration with existing and anticipated infrastructure.
3. Extensive knowledge of specialized subject matter or program areas sufficient to develop original designs, concepts, or visual styles for publications, exhibits, or presentation materials that present to the public the ideas or image desired by the organization, that evoke certain responses from the viewers, or that reduce the cost of production, installation, or maintenance of the visual product.
4. Ability to schedule, coordinate, track, and react to changes in/to leadership processes and direction.
5. Ability to analyze and improve work process.
6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to prepare and present briefings, coordinate planning efforts and manage program activities.
7. Ability to research, analyst, interpret and apply rules, regulations and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions.
8. Ability to plan and organize work and coordinate with other disciplines.
