Join the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department at Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), where we provide exceptional dining, fitness, and recreational programs for service members, their families, retired military, and civilian employees.

About the Role

We are seeking a Dining Operations Supervisor who is passionate about delivering top-notch service and overseeing the smooth running of our dining facilities. In this role, you will support and enhance the dining experience by ensuring efficient operations and fostering good patron relationships.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring efficient dining operations in accordance with established regulations and procedures.
  • Supporting the Manager in overseeing night operations, guiding, and instructing staff members.
  • Collaborating with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth night operations and assisting when needed for faster service.
  • Scheduling employees, managing labor costs, and maintaining staff utilization efficiently.
  • Inspecting dining room facilities and ensuring staff maintains a neat, professional appearance.
  • Ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed and conducting cash counts as needed.
  • Evaluating employee performance and maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Implementing a thorough safety program and resolving any arising issues.
  • Participating in program activity creation and promotion.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of banquet operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with tact and diplomacy.
  • Supervisory capabilities and decision-making skills.
  • Must present a neat, well-groomed appearance.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift lightweight objects.

While no specific educational requirements exist for this role, relevant experience will be highly regarded.
