Duties
- Leads and supervises the entire Food and Beverage department. Initiates recruitment or reassignment actions; makes/approves selections. Approves performance appraisals conducted by subordinate managers.
- Manages day to day operations and Food and Beverage support to include special events to achieve high levels of quality, productivity and department profitability.
- Reviews financial reports and operating metrics including productivity and major cost centers, develops and executes annual operating budgets, tracks revenues, labor and other expenses; presents analysis to Command.
- Establishes training requirements, ensures skill level training is developed, conducted and evaluated on an ongoing basis. Develops and approves employee work schedules and modifies as necessary to address fluctuations in demand.
- Applies HQDA Occupational Safety and Health objectives and initiatives and implements safety plan that outlines the policies and procedures regarding employee safety and health in the workplace.

- Must have ability to obtain (within first 6 months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency (i.e., ServSafe).
- Incumbent must file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest IAW with the requirements of AR 600-50.
- Required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, IAW with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 30 AUG 1993.
- Must be available to work a varying and/or rotating shift to include nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
- This position is dual compensation exempt; All GS and NAF employees holding FLEX positions are eligible to apply for this position.
Qualifications
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in managing and supervising at least three food and beverage functional areas, such as: buffet restaurants, a la carte restaurants, catering, quick serve outlets, bars and kitchen operations.
- Must have management experience that demonstrates knowledge and successful execution of Food and Beverage internal controls, cost controls and menu engineering.
- Must have experience in the use of automated POS, inventory controls systems.
- Must have experience in facilitating the professional development of subordinate managers and staff.
