FOR THE GS-13:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
(1) Providing guidance and expert technical advice to support complex engineering projects, provide conceptual design, and drafting engineering services for the manufacture, installation, and operation of aerospace repair facilities; (2) Reviewing and signing off on technical documents/drawings to conduct advanced electrical facilities and equipment design work that requires multi-tiered planning, modification, and development of technical approaches and solutions; (3) Analyzing and evaluating the causes and effects of difficult electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic facilities, facility equipment, and facility design issues; (4) Anticipating and resolving conflicts between technical, logistical, and administrative requirements to identify compromises of engineering standard guides, precedents, methods and techniques; and (5) Developing and implementing new technical methods and standards as well as providing expert consulting and technical assistance to plant maintenance personnel, production shops, contracting personnel, and managers of both internal and external government agencies.
FOR THE GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
(1) Reviewing, editing, and correcting designs, plans, and drawings to resolve difficult electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic facilities, facility equipment, and facility design issues; (2) Planning, coordinating, and/or performing technical investigations and research to validate facility requirements in the use of new or emerging engineering processes; (3) Identifying and prescribing corrective action for electrical facilities and equipment design deficiencies and reporting significant incidents through appropriate reporting systems to improve reliability, maintainability, and interchangeability; (4) Convening and participating in meetings and conferences on electrical facilities and facility equipment design issues, problems, development, and other similar matters; and (5) Developing in-house and outsourcing cost estimates and preparing contracts and delivery orders for contracted engineering services.
