This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Maintains, repairs and operates all types of transformers, oil and circuit breakers, lighting arresters, secondary switchgear, cranes, motors, street lights and communication systems; 2) Responsible for tracking expenses and estimating annual budgets for projects; 3) Analyzes work schedules, determines manpower and material requirements, determines work methods to be used, coordinates work within the work of the other units involved; 4) Makes initial decisions as to manpower, equipment, material, blueprints and prepares sketches as necessary for complex work projects; and 5) Participants in a wide ranges of personnel matters such as, performance rating, leave request, commendatory and disciplinary action, promotions, demotions and beneficial suggestions.
