You may qualify at the WG 12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the WG 11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in full range of Electrician tasks including assisting with the installation of new electrical circuits, walls plugs, electric hot water heaters and circuits; planning, laying out work according to rough sketches, blueprints, or verbal instructions; assisting with the rewiring of facilities; and using tools and test equipment. I work under general supervision of a work leader or journey-level Electrician who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to ensure they are properly performed.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the WG 4 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in assisting with the installation of new electrical circuits, walls plugs, electric hot water heaters and circuits; planning, laying out work according to rough sketches, blueprints, or verbal instructions; assisting with the rewiring of facilities; and using tools and test equipment.
