Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Creating recommendations for development, adoption, and implementation of an effective emergency management program;
2) Conducting emergency management program assessments to identify deficiencies and make recommendations; and
3) Developing Emergency Management Plans to assist in response to crisis situations.

Most work is performed in a properly heated and ventilated, air conditioned, and well-lighted officesetting. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military orcommercial aircraft. Assignments require occasional visits to industrial areas which involve minimalrisk of exposure to various hazards such as toxic material, high noise levels, explosives, ionizing andnon-ionizing radiations, high intensity optical and infrared sources, laser light sources, anddust/fumes. Protective equipment and clothing are sometimes necessary. Observance of specialsafety precautions is required.
