Summary

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the OKINAWA CONSOLIDATION of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER.

Duties

  • You will provide support to the Program Manager for Government of Japan (GOJ) Construction Programs.
  • You will attend preconstruction conferences with Army construction inspectors, Marine Corps users, and GOJ contractors.
  • You will coordinate contractor requirements for power outages, road closing, temporary building sites, borrow pits, and disposal.
  • You will inspect the work in progress at construction sites and takes part in the final inspection of completed projects.

  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing construction program support AND coordination of planning, design, equipment procurement and construction on new facilities in direct support of the operational readiness of operating units.
