Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding the characteristics, properties, uses, and interrelationships of components, assemblies and/or subassemblies to perform a wide range of weight handling equipment maintenance; 2) Understanding the parts, tools, and training devices required to support assigned complex components, assemblies, and/or subassemblies, operational, post repair, and certification tests; 3) Performing equipment evaluations and maintenance including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and structural as necessary; 4) Understanding how to read, interpret, and determine the technical validity of blueprints, work orders, and technical manuals; and 5) Communicating orally and in writing with a variety of internal personnel, contractors, customers, supervisors, and manufacturers.
