Who May Apply: US Citizens
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: To qualify for the DE-03 position, applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower pay band or grade/level performing the following: 1) maintaining awareness of the organizations activities that may involve senior leaders action, such as organization structure, project status, and mission/objectives; 2) facilitating revisions in assigned program areas to meet current and long-range objectives; 3) interpreting policies/procedures relating to operations and administration in order to facilitate the timely execution of tasks; and 4) coordinating briefings, conferences and other meetings for senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band or equivalent grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02 (GS-11).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
