Experience in a leadership or managerial role, particularly in the context of large teams, ideally in a military or defense-related setting.
Experience and In-depth understanding of organizational structures, responsibilities, and operations within the U.S. Atlantic Fleet and Naval Systems Commands, as well as their field activities.
Experience and authoritative knowledge of the professional and administrative aspects of ship design, conversion, maintenance, and repair.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: engineering, financial management, waterfront operations, or related disciplines.
Experience functioning as the top technical and organizational consultant, participating actively in the engineering, technical, and fiscal management of the command.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
