This position is part of the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI), Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Educational Technician (Tutor) you will be responsible for coordinating tutoring services between SIPI's non-academic and academic programs to further enhance student learning and student support.

Duties
As a Educational Technician (Tutor)GS-1702-7, your typical work assignments may include the following:
- Coordinate, prepare and facilitate tutoring services to promote student productivity and learning, including individual and group tutoring services, tutoring workshops, collaborative projects and academic support sessions.
- Serve as the point of contact for student and staff questions and concerns related to tutoring services for the college.
- Work with faculty in planning, acquiring, conducting, and documenting individual and collective tutoring and supplemental instruction towards continuous improvement in the areas of student academic performance.
- Provide a variety of services and technical assistance to academic support staff including collection of data for statistical analysis for assessment reporting purposes in meeting the coaching program goals and objectives.
- Maintain procedures to ensure integrity and security of all records, files and documents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
GS-07 Level: You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience example for this position include: conduct individual and group student tutoring sessions in a post-secondary education setting; work with faculty and academic staff to coordinate, schedule and evaluate tutoring programs; and perform statistical data collection and analysis to monitor program effectiveness.
