Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Electrician without more than normal supervision. Have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex duties in electrical wiring, hydraulic systems, finished carpentry work, finished masonry work, plumbing systems, roofing and structural work. Skilled in operating a flood control facility and experienced in determining and calculating water releases for flood control purposes. Considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.- Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Required to perform light lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires some walking, standing frequently, climbing ladders and scaffolds, standing, some stooping, and bending. Work requires work overhead or in stretched, cramped, or awkward positions. Stands, stoops, bends, kneels, climbs, and works in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in variety of conditions. Inside a shop area subject to potential injuries from hand or powered tools and danger from flying splinters, chips, etc. Works outside in all weather, occasionally works in unheated building shells. Works on scaffolding, high ladders, or roof tops subject to danger of falling, exposed to possibility of burns, cuts, bruises, broken bones, infections. Frequently required to wear protective equipment and clothing, sometimes heavy and uncomfortable.
