There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Electrician ~ without more than normal supervision. Must possess the ability to perform common tasks including Installing and operating common electrical systems and equipment; reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, sketches, and manufacture's wiring guides; and measuring, cutting and bending wire and conduit to specified lengths and angles. I am skilled in using a variety of test equipment, including meggers, test lamps, and ammeters. Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- Physical Efforts: This position requires frequent walking, kneeling, climbing, bending, and working in strained and cramped positions, lifting, and moving equipment weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment. The two person lift limit is 100 pounds and will only be used for single event, non-routine lifts.
- Work Conditions: This position requires work to be performed indoors and outside shops and buildings. Subject to severe weather conditions and elements in emergency situations. Subject to chemical and steam burns. Subject to heat prostration from ovens, steam equipment, and heat treating equipment. Danger of falling from scaffold, ladders, catwalks, cranes, buckets, and roofs of heights in excess of 30 feet. Subject to dust, chemical, gas and various fumes, electrical shock, and/or burns. Work requires use of personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, half/full face respirators, dusk masks, safety glasses, and shoes appropriate to the work are and work performed. Discomfort may be experienced while wearing protective equipment.
