Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanic ~ without more than normal supervision. Troubleshooting, repair and calibrate various missile, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic test systems. Use specialized test equipment such as; oscilloscopes, frequency counters, spectrum analyzers, digital voltmeters, phase gain meters, audio and RF generators, microwave power meters, DC calibrators, pressure gages, variable transformers, multimeters, maintenance calibration kits, power supplies, pressure test kits, microwave counters. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work assignments require light to moderate physical effort. Lifts, carries, or otherwise handles items weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally in excess of 40 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Majority of work is performed inside heated buildings with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions. Works on concrete floors in areas subject to high frequency noise, cuts, bruises, and burns or shocks caused by high electrical voltage.
