The Sergeant at Arms is the Chief Law Enforcement and Protocol Officer for the U.S. House of Representatives. The Office of the Sergeant at Arms provides premier security, safety and protocol services to Members, Committees and the staff who serve them. To accomplish our mission, we have an extremely dedicated team whose diverse strengths provide the highest level of professionalism and expertise in each of our divisions: Immediate Office, Police Services and Law Enforcement, Protocol and Special Events, Chamber Operations, Administration, House Garages and Parking Security, House Security, Information and Identification Services, and Emergency Management. These divisions collectively and collaboratively ensure and enhance the safety and security of House operations.
