Emergency Response Firefighter

We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our firefighting team. As part of our emergency response teams, you will play an essential role in protecting our community from fires and other emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to emergencies as part of an Engine Company, Truck Company, Rescue Company, and other specialized teams.
Participate in training and instruction classes focused on fire protection, prevention, and emergency medical services.
Operate emergency response vehicles, including pumpers, ladders, and ambulances.
Conduct daily maintenance inspections of firefighting and medical equipment.
Provide advanced medical assessment and treatment for emergencies such as fires, accidents, and medical crises.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen and eligible for federal employment.
Possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license with a Firefighter Endorsement.
Current Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) license required.
Firefighter I and II certifications are mandatory.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and maintain a drug-free status.
Capable of obtaining and maintaining required security clearances.
Work a demanding 72-hour week with availability for emergencies.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS=-7 federal service level, involving fire suppression, emergency medical responses, and related fields.
