You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) preparing contracting documents 2) managing construction and maintenance service contracts 3) addressing safety issues with contractors 4) preparing preliminary and final cost estimates for projects 5) Reviewing plans and specifications and construction blueprints prepared by architect /engineering firms or contractors and identifies and corrects minor discrepancies.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
