Minimum Qualifications for GS-07:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing formal communication documents using means such as email, letters, and memoranda; interpreting organizational mission areas with respect to key infrastructure and projects; participating in field inspections and/or evaluations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
OR
Education: One full year (e.g., 18 Semester hours) of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Minimum Qualifications for GS-08:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating internal and external meetings; developing or maintaining technical information in a database or website; and coordinating the collection of data from instrumentation and/or system for projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: One and a half years (i.e., 27 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Minimum Qualifications for GS-09:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the evaluation of project schedule, budget, or performance; analyzing levee data from various sources to ensure compliance with wide range of regulations, policies, or procedures; and building and/or maintaining effective relationships internal and external to the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
OR
Education: Two full years of graduate level education or a Master's degree in a field directly related to the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total semester hours minus 27) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Minimum Qualifications for GS-10:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes establishing project inspection schedules; assessing the capability and/or reliability of the design, performance, or operation of dam systems; and providing technical reports and/or recommendations for stakeholders, local, state, or federal partners. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
Minimum Qualifications for GS-11:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and/or modifying work methods, approaches, or procedures; recommending solutions to resolve technical problems related to civil works projects; and reviewing completed work to ensure projects are in conformance with schedule and/or budget requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
