Duties
- Serves as Executive Assistant to the Director and Deputy Director, DFAS TX.
- Performs duties of a highly confidential nature, receiving communications for and from the Director and Senior Staff.
- Coordinates office administrative operations. Assures that all correspondences directed to and from DFAS TX are reviewed for content and recorded, assigned and suspense as appropriate, routed correctly and properly prepared/formatted.
- Assists in scheduling for Director, Deputy Director and Executive Officer.
- Participates and/or assists in planning and directing programs to meet DFAS TX mission objectives; assures the Director, Deputy Director and Executive Officer are informed of the progress.

- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
Qualifications
1. Ability to interact and deal effectively with all management levels within DA, DOD and other federal agencies.
2. Knowledge of protocol procedures to render proper courtesies to guests, VIPs and dignitaries.
3. Knowledge and understanding of management principles practices, methods and techniques sufficient to evaluate and integrate management services.
4. Knowledge of operating programs and their interrelationships with one another.
5. Skill in identifying, analyzing and developing course of action and recommendations for resolving management and administrative problems.
6. Knowledge of administrative concepts, principles and practices to perform independent duties to eliminate conflict and duplication in extensive office procedures, determine when new office procedures are needed, study and evaluate new office machines and recommend acceptance.
7. Ability to organize and communicate ideas effectively through written correspondence and oral presentations.
8. Prepares graphs and charts clearly, concisely and effectively as needed.
