TO QUALIFY FOR THE GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding local, state, command, and federal regulations regarding asbestos; 2) Assisting with the asbestos sampling and survey results; 3) Properly managing, disposing, or abating asbestos within facilities. TO QUALIFY FOR THE GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using local, state, command, and federal regulations regarding asbestos; 2) Developing and executing asbestos related training (i.e. P-502, Asbestos Program Management); 3) Accounting for asbestos located within facilities; 4) Disseminating policy for oversight of asbestos related contract work and/or for government/in-house abatement activities; 5) Interpreting asbestos sampling and survey results and reviewing abatement and demolition plans; 6) Ensuring facility users are not at risk and that asbestos within facilities is properly managed, disposed, or abated.
