Summary

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the HQ MARINE FORCES EUROPE.

Duties

  • You will formulate a budget and estimates for support plans, program and activities.
  • You will perform tasks such as analytics, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.
  • You will apply wide range of standard practices and procedures of an annual budget and/or financial administrative process.
  • You will receive and respond to DTS trouble issues presented by the staff divisions, offices, and/or individual travelers.
  • You will process new government travel charge card applications, transfer accounts in, establishes accounts in PCS status for cardholders preparing for moves and trainings.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

  • This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Implementing and maintaining Defense Travel Systems (DTS) help-desk operations and; 2) Coordinating with accounting to ensure funds are available and subsequent travel under account and ensuring each voucher has adequate disbursements to cover GTCC balance and; 3) Monitoring delinquency reports and take appropriate action to resolve in accordance with Marine Corps guidance.
