MILITARY GRADES: E-3 through E-7
MILITARY COMPATABILITY: AFSC 6F0X1, Financial Management and Comptroller. Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS. Military positions with financial management occupational specialties require financial management certification within 2 years of notification of applicable certification requirements or the period of any extension.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: experience that demonstrates the ability to:
- Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions.
- Plan and organize work.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately.
- Skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material.
- Skill in presenting formal training presentations and briefings.
- Ability to prepare reports and presentation formats.
Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as it provided evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) necessary to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Experience of a general clerical nature (typing, filing, routine procedural processing, maintaining records, or other nonspecialized tasks) is not creditable. Trades or crafts experience appropriate to the position to be filled may be creditable for some positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year equivalent to GS-07; Knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
