Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Inspecting buildings and facilities to identify fire hazards; 2) Recommending corrective actions to eliminate fire and safety hazards; 3) Providing public education on fire safety (i.e. conducts fires drills, conducts classes and demonstrations, develops Fire Prevention Week activities, etc.). NOTE: This experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Inspecting building and facilities to identify fire hazards and implement corrective actions; 2) Identifying hazardous conditions or practices, evaluates degree of hazard involved, and determines appropriate action to be taken; 3) Developing and conducts training course on fire safety practices and procedures (i.e. fixed and portable fire protection equipment, station fire prevention regulations, special hazardous operations/conditions, home and/or work practices, etc.) for military and civilian employees, contractors, and dependents; 4) Providing guidance to supervisors, employees, and the general populace on fire safety and fire protection. NOTE: This experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position.
THE FOLLOWING CERTIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED:
GS-7= HAZMAT AWARENESS, FIRE INSPECTOR I, FIRE INSTRUCTOR I, CPR, AND FIRST AID
GS-8=HAZMAT AWARENESS, FIRE INSPECTOR I, FIRE INSPECTOR II, FIRE INSTRUCTOR I, CPR, AND FIRST AID.
These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications, and provide verification with your application, you will be rated ineligible.
