CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
You will be required to work a 56 hour work week, 112 hour bi-weekly.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Physical and Mental Demands: The incumbent must be physically and mentally capable of performing and supervising firefighting functions during extreme conditions of heat and cold, in hazardous environments, and for extended periods of time. Must be able to wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus for long periods without signs of significant exhaustion. The incumbent will be required to lift, bend, pull, stand, walk, crawl and climb often repeatedly and for long periods while conducting training sessions or performing on the fire ground. The incumbent will be required to undergo an annual firefighter physical examination.
Expectations: The incumbent, if not already certified, must attend training sessions to achieve instructor certification. This certification must enable the individual to teach and certify department personnel in fire related subjects. Certification must be issued by a state or authority which is recognized by the National Professional Firefighters Board.
Work Environment: The training division is of limited organizational complexity and is divided into two categories. Some of the duties will be carried out in the training office setting involving typing, filing, composition and counseling of personnel. The other will be carried out in the field or classroom environment conducting training sessions and practical exercises.
You must obtain and maintain any required licensure/certifications.
