Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provides technical expertise in Health and Safety firefighting programs to include; development of risk management plans, accident prevention program, chair occupational safety and health committees, investigate and analyze occupational injuries and accidents (e.g. Illnesses, exposures, hazardous conditions), approve specification for firefighting protective equipment, coordinates disaster preparedness requirements for Fire Department.

You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
You must have a successful completion of an Emergency Vehicle Operator Course.
Must be physically fit and pass a required annual physical and meet the medical and physical fitness entrance requirements.
Work requires lifting up to 50 pounds, must be able to wear protective clothing and equipment, weight up to 100 pounds, while working in extreme heat and cold under adverse conditions, such as fire and smoke, walking 2 - 4 hours daily, occasional climbing and maintaining mental alertness, self-control and emotional stability to carry out the duties of this position.

Incumbent will be required to work a 60-hour work week with eating and sleeping facilities provided in accordance with general firefighting practices.
Work schedule will consist of four 9-hour days and one 24-hour shift per week.
