This position requires the following certifications:
-Hazardous Material Operations
-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
-Emergency Medical Technician
-Pediatric Advanced Life Support
-National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications
This position has a maximum entry age of 37. Candidates that will be older than 37 at the time of appointment will require an age waiver.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: serving as a Firefighter AND Paramedic providing fire prevention, fire protection, and emergency operations; responding to emergencies as a member of an Engine Company, Truck Company, Rescue Company, Hazardous Materials Team and/or a Rescue Team with associated vehicle and equipment.
