Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities that may include research and/or large industrial complexes; assists in the development of special protective services for structures imposing extreme hazards; combats fire or rescues personnel on board ships where conditions create very difficult and dangerous situations; performs crash rescue and firefighting duties involving air traffic or support operations where hazardous conditions are such that the expectancy for fire is high and potential for becoming destructive is great; provides advanced life support while directing EMS and first responders in delivering medical aid to the sick and or injured patient.

Certifications:
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter II, Airport Firefighter, Driver/Operator Pumper, Driver/Operator ARFF, Driver/Operator Aerial, HazMat Technician, National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (NREMT-P). These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement.
