In order to qualify for this position, you must possess both the Basic Requirement and Minimum Qualification.
Minimum Qualification GS-11:
A. One (1) year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to grade GS-09 in the Federal service. Specialized experience may include: 1) Implementing a facility maintenance program involving limited technical issues, such as planning the operation of a facility without elevators or escalators; 2) Inspecting facilities to evaluate use patterns and identify maintenance or restoration requirements; and 3) Assisting with cost requirements for the operation and maintenance of the facility.
B. Three (3) years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree, or Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree with major study in one of the following fields: engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.
C. A combination of experience and graduate education as described in A and B above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement.
The quality of the combination of education and experience must be sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform work in the occupation, and is comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of a full 4-year course of study with a major in the appropriate field.
NOTE: You must submit copies of all transcripts that include hours and grades from an accredited U.S. college/university and your resume must contain sufficient detail, (e.g., begin/end dates, hours worked per week, duties performed, etc.) for each timeframe for consideration.
Minimum Qualifications GS-12:
One (1) year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to grade GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience may include: 1) Identifying facility conditions or maintenance deficiencies for entry into appropriate facility condition tracking database; 2) Extracting information from computer databases regarding facility condition to develop detailed reports showing needed corrective action(s) for higher-level review/action; 3) Assisting in the development of cost estimates for labor and materials for a variety of construction and maintenance projects; and 4) Tracking of real property assets for an organization using an integrated computer database.
NOTE: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically,
