Duties
This is a remote position. The salary range listed depicts the range covering the lowest locality level, up to the highest locality level. Salary will be determined upon selection and dependent upon duty location, grade, step, and locality pay of selectee(s). Additional salary information can be found on Salaries & Wages (opm.gov).

As a/an Financial Analyst, you will:
- Process the most difficult and complicated applications and awards. This includes considerations that are new, unique and without precedent that require a departure from policy and/or the development of new work methods, procedures or policies
- Performs award reviews and provides funding concurrences and or recommendations for award justifications based on considerations such as quality, consistency and adherence to policies, procedures and applicable OMB and other Federal regulations.
- Plan, lead and conduct site visits in order to provide assistance and advisory services to actual or potential awardees. This includes securing information in advance and onsite, analyzing financial and operating data, and determining and recommending the information and technical assistance needed to ensure financial soundness and operational success
- Serve as subject matter expert. This includes developing outreach, training and marketing materials and providing information to actual and potential awardees, industry representatives, and CDFI Fund staff. Reviews the work of employees in lower-graded positions, and provides advice and instruction. Assists in developing ongoing internal policy interpretation materials
- Improve the CDFI Fund program administration and operations. This includes researching, developing and recommending policy and program changes to ensure the efficiency of agency processes and decisions. It also includes identifying and analyzing trends, and creating and contributing to reports on Program operations, efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Experience leading projects which involve managing multiple processes and stakeholders; AND
-Experience conducting grant/award application reviews for community development or affordable housing projects; AND
-Experience conducting impact/policy analysis for community development projects or programs; AND
-Experience analyzing the financial safety of financial institutions, conducting policy analysis for community development projects, or feasibility analyses of projects; OR
-Experience evaluating and documenting financial performance of community development financial institutions (CDFIs) or affordable housing projects based on analysis of financial statements.
