To Qualify for the GS-09 Grade Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
- Knowledge of accounting theories, principles, practices and techniques.
- Participated in financial audits, performing auditing assignments while applying financial principles, methods, techniques and procedures.
- Monitoring obligations, developing, gathering and analyzing financial data, reconciliation and oversight of accounts;
- Researching and resolving errors related to orders, deliveries and billing, track orders, monitor corrective action plans;
- Preparing accounting data for briefings and reports, developing statistical and trend reports.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree.OR2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.

LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Combination of Education and Experience: Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at the grade level GS-09.

Recruitment Incentive
Selectee(s) for this position who are newly appointed to a permanent position are authorized to receive a one-time recruitment incentive of 25% of the salary, including locality for this position. Receipt of the bonus will require a 12-month service agreement. Relocation Incentive
Selectee(s) for this position who are current federal employees on permanent appointments and will be moving outside of the current commuting area of their current position to accept this position are authorized to receive a one-time relocation incentive of 25% of the salary including locality for this position. Receipt of the bonus will require a 12-month service agreement. The employee must establish a residence in the new geographic area prior to payment.
