Qualifications
All candidates
MUST meet the following minimum qualifications:
- one (1) year of work experience which includes but is not limited to duties such as:
- analyzing monthly and yearly results of accounting transactions,
- interpreting budget guidance,
- evaluating financial statements and preparing financial reports using the theories, principles, practices and techniques of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), AND
- experience in an internal review or auditing field.
HIGHLY PREFERRED are those candidates that possess both the minimum qualifications above and:
- Possess a minimum of three (3) years' experience that demonstrates the ability to apply financial accounting principles, methods and techniques of fiscal management, with a strong background in budget preparation, payroll management, internal controls and financial systems reporting., AND
- Possess one (1) year of experience processing and coordinating manpower and staffing issues with non-appropriated fund (NAF) personnel office and payroll systems., OR
- Possess one (1) year of NAF experience analyzing monthly financial reports to include variance, CPMC (Capital Purchase Minor Construction) execution, and cash flow projections., OR
- Demonstrated ability to determine resource needs and allocation of resources for both Appropriated Fund (APF) and NAF budgets.
*AND/OR* Management may consider candidates that possess ALL the minimum qualifications, the first Highly Preferred element, and one of the other three Highly Preferred elements. In the absence of any candidates possessing this, management may consider candidates that meet ALL the minimum qualifications, and just the first Highly Preferred Element.
