Position Overview
Join the 92 Force Support Squadron at Alder House, Fairchild AFB, WA as a Food Preparation Team Leader. This dynamic role involves providing day-to-day guidance to employees, managing work assignments, and ensuring efficient meal preparation. This is a flexible position with hours ranging from 0 to 40 per week based on the facility's needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and assist staff with work assignments, relay supervisor instructions, and set work pace.
- Perform diverse cooking tasks including roasting, broiling, baking, frying, boiling, steaming, and stewing meats and produce.
- Prepare soups, stocks, gravies, sauces, and puddings from scratch.
- Plan cooking timelines for coordinated meal preparation.
- Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness in the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead a culinary team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in food preparation principles and meal planning processes.
- Capability to perform yield testing and adjust recipes as needed.
- Knowledge of food storage and inventory procedures.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and occasionally over 40 pounds.
Conditions of Employment

- A current Food Handlers Certificate.
