Duties

The incumbent plans, directs, and manages the administration, technical, and professional aspects of all food and beverage operations within the Kadena Golf Program. This includes overseeing the Tee House, Chipper's Snack Bar, beverage cart, and 19th Hole Snack Bar to ensure compliance with Air Force standards and maintain profitability. Implements higher-level directives and formulates procedures to ensure high standards of food and beverage services. Develops operating policies, practices, and instructions to ensure efficient operations. Establishes, reviews, and evaluates food and beverage service standards, as well as the purchase of supplies and equipment. Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and order stock as required. Maintain sales records and accountability documents ensures accurate inventory, cash control, and accounting procedures. Plans menus, budgeting, and oversees food preparation and continually reviews menu selection to meet customers' demands. Ensure proper preparation, display, and pricing of food and beverage items, adhering to correct receipt and pricing procedures. Assign work tasks and provide general instructions to staff. Prepares and post work schedules for employees. Conduct interviews, select workers, and assign tasks to employees.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in the operational management of a civilian or military food service program or AF Services programs related to hospitality, food service, or business management. This experience must have included responsibility or supervision over various phases of food service sufficient to demonstrate skill and knowledge in such areas as activity management planning and programming, economic soundness of program operations, uniform accounting and supply procedures, facility management, and supervision of a subordinate staff. Must demonstrate experience in supervising a revenue-generating cost center within a related activity. Must possess a valid USFJ Form 4EJ driver's license.

Must be able to obtain ServSafe food handling certification within 90 days of hire. This is a drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to random drug testing.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
