This National Guard position is for a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1958000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard.

Duties

As a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-2001-9, you will perform analysis on a wide range of technical squadron functions by analyzing historical and current data and identifying deficiencies or potential problems during surveillances or staff assistance visits. Compare supply performance and maintenance interface data with prescribed standards to identify the effectiveness of supply support. Develop, coordinate, and publish local supplements and makes recommendations to assist in the development of major command (MAJCOM) supplements to Air Force (AF) manuals and instructions applying to the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS). Manage the General Support Division (GSD) and monitors the Material Support Division (MSD) of the Air Force Supply Management Activity Group (SMAG) at base level. Develop and maintain trend analysis for stock fund operations and formulates long and short-range projections. Serve as the approval level authority for all inventory adjustments affecting the General Support Division stock fund. Perform in-depth research and special analyses and makes appropriate recommendations for improvement. Initiate reverse post actions as required. Review and certify organization cost center records. Research and develop checklists and exercises internal management controls within the LRS. Conducts an exit briefing to discuss identified deficiencies and resolve differences of opinion. Provide a detailed written report of inspection to include procedural clarification to eliminate non-compliance. Serve as the Resource Advisor for the LRS. Prepare and manage the operating budget for squadron cost centers. Plan, develop, and conducts on-the-job training (OJT) as required. Perform other duties as assigned. RANK REQUIREMENT:

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience with supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support.
