Duties
Plan, design, and execute graphic designs for print and digital use. Artwork based on direction provided by Graphics Manager, and Director of Marketing based on internal and external client¿s needs. Create artwork for social media pages, websites, and electronic communications. Create print marketing materials to include pamphlets, posters, brochures, handouts, and large-scale banners.
Meet with internal and external clients regarding project specifications including content, graphic direction, material selection, output recommendations, timelines, and media requirements. Edit and proof jobs prior to presenting to client to ensure consistent and quality work. May also produce written copy or slogans to accompany marketing campaigns. Keep abreast of new multimedia, print, electronic, and other creative technologies to enhance creative materials and production. Use the project management system to navigate multiple projects and communicate with clients. Maintain a log showing the status of assignments and projects.
Utilize HTML and WordPress to maintain and enhance websites. Create and coordinate website aesthetic look and feel with the Digital Marketing Specialist for public events. Administer company websites by publishing current content, maintaining continuity of theme and design layout, and streamlining navigation. Act as the subject matter expert in the maintenance of and content management for multiple company websites and provide training and consultation with MCCS staff at other installations.
Design merchandise such as commemorative coins, medals, and patches, for MCAS Miramar signature events to include the MCAS Miramar Air Show and other high profile events as needed.
Assist with the design of advertising marketing assets, offering recommendations and ideas for new and immersive design and build out capabilities. May be responsible for taking a promotion from conception to delivery, providing direction and advice to ensure brand standards and productive marketing efforts are achieved.
Will be working closely with marketing personnel to produce design concepts that meet the client's vision and support the brand standards for MCCS Miramar. Will be responsible for creation of multi-media designs for high profile, public facing projects.
Assist Printing Coordinator in printing, laminating, and cutting event day signage and support the Marketing team to execute of signature events as necessary which can include assembling, displaying, dismantling, repairing, storing and recycling signage and promotional materials as assigned. May use simple hand tools.
Select and purchase stock photography for advertising materials and manage the photo library. Archive and maintain digital copies of final artwork, photography, and video files.

Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Use required safety equipment and observe safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Required Documents to be considered for Military Spousal Preference
Military Spousal Preference may be requested for positions NF-3 and below, Crafts and Trades (NA, NL, NS), and Child & Youth (CY) positions.
- Spouses must meet the minimum qualifications posted in the job announcement.
- Spouse Preference eligibility begins 30 days before the military sponsor¿s reporting date to the new duty location.
- Spousal Preference applicants hired in a flexible position will not lose their spousal preference eligibility until converted or hired into a regular full-time or part-time position or is within a 60-day period of receiving new PCS Orders.
- Spousal Preference applicants must provide a copy of the PCS order identifying a spouse¿s authorized move and the sponsor¿s reporting date to the new duty location. If the spouse is not listed on the PCS orders, the spouse must provide documentation (i.e. marriage certificate, valid military ID, etc.) verifying marriage prior to PCS orders (must have been married to the military sponsor before relocation to the new duty station).
