Summary

This job opportunity is for an GROUP SUPERINTENDENT, position description D2397000, within the of the 177 MSQ GP New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the principal advisor to the group commander for enlisted and other operational matters.

This vacancy announcement is for a Dual-Status Technician position which requires active membership in the New Jersey National Guard (uniformed military service). Official appointment is not effective until membership within the New Jersey National Guard is confirmed by the gaining Human Resources Office.

Duties

As aGROUP SUPERINTENDENT ,GS -0301-11, you will:

  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Advises the group commander on assigned program areas of responsibility.
  • Advises, carries out, and monitors the Group Commander's organizational policies, programs, and standards applicable to the enlisted force.
  • Develops, participates, and provides guidance in planning, publicizing, and administering ANG enlisted awards, recognition and promotion programs.
  • Serves as the commanders representative at staff meetings and councils and when conducting tours through group areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
