SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences is responsible for support of ICBM developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) activities in either flight systems, weapons system command and control (WSC2), launch systems or test support and integration disciplines. The incumbent will have knowledge of test planning, execution, and analysis of test results for components, subsystems, systems, and the integrated system. The scope of the position includes support for DT&E ground and flight test activities at contractor and DoD locations for new or modified ICBM weapon systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
1. Knowledge of aeronautical systems integration with expertise in the areas of subsystems integration to include ICBM test support, weapon system analysis and test equipment/infrastructure. Knowledge of ground and flight aerospace vehicle/missile test conduct, data analysis/evaluation, incorporation of STAT techniques, modeling and simulation, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of ground and flight test programs
2. Ability to plan and organize work, coordinate between various engineering and test disciplines, and coordinate with other Air Force, DoD, and domestic and foreign government agencies, and to devise and recommend timely and economical solutions to problems
3. Mastery of test and evaluation techniques and knowledge of advance concepts, principles, and techniques across multiple interrelated and integrated technical and test engineering disciplines that enable incumbent to support the Development Test and Evaluation (DT&E) or new and modified ICBM systems and subsystems.
4. Knowledge of ICBM weapons systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military and methods of testing.
5. Skill in negotiation and/or defending test results, test program concepts, and in communicating clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing. Knowledge and skill sufficient to maintain good working relations and perform as an effective member of a team.
6. Knowledge of the DoD and USAF acquisition process is needed to conduct DT&E and to develop Test Team plans and processes reflective of current DoD and USAF ST&E objectives.
