This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Must possess in-depth knowledge of the mechanical, hydraulic structural, and pneumatic systems of weight handling equipment and construction equipment. 2) Must have experience equivalent to Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic or comparable trade mechanic and must be conversant with electrical systems of weight handling equipment. 3) Must be widely experienced in the usage of sensitive measuring and metering devices such as calipers, volt meters, ohm meters, clamp on amp meters, meggers, pressure gauges, flow meters, tachometers, panel meters, and compression testers to analyze operating condition of equipment. 4) Must be able to troubleshoot, localize system, deficiencies, and identify faulty component and able to perform non-destructive testing to crane components, such as hook assemblies, and analyze results. 5) Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, and blueprints associated with heavy mobile equipment.
