This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is:Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision. Tasks performed in this position include: The ability plan and layout work determine tools required and make field decisions to correct system faults with minimal supervision; ability to diagnose and determine the corrective action for power outages; requires extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of medium voltage distribution system operation, capability, limitation and protection of wires, cables, transformers, capacitors, relays, SCADA, etc., ability to interpret electrical drawings, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair medium voltage distribution, controls and switching stations as well as secondary (480/208/120 volt) distribution and branch circuits to include switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, panels, timers, contactors, starters, outlets, switches, motors, VFD's, pneumatic systems, controls and exterior parking lot and streetlights.
